What You Will Do

  • Conduct reviews of financial files, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to company policies.

  • Prepare and present financial reports, summaries, and analyses to senior management, providing insights for strategic decision-making.

  • Engage with clients to address inquiries, resolve issues, and provide financial expertise, cultivating solid and lasting relationships.

  • Regularly evaluate processes and procedures, identify improvement opportunities, and implement best practices.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as audit, legal, and operations, to ensure seamless business processes and compliance.

  • Monitor activities to identify potential risks, implement internal controls, and contribute to developing risk mitigation strategies.

  • Stay current with accounting regulations, trends, and technologies to enhance personal and team skills.

 

What You Bring

  • Senior level experience: minimum five years progressive experience in full-cycle paperless bookkeeping, including payroll

  • Minimum 1-year supervising or managing a team

  • Prior experience working in an accounting or bookkeeping practice is required (minimum of two years)

  • Post-secondary diploma or certificate in a relevant field

  • High level of proficiency with MS Office Applications (Word, Excel)

  • QBO Advanced Certified (minimum one year job experience)

  • Preference is given to candidates living in, or adjacent to, the Central Time Zone

  • Must be eligible to work in Canada, must reside in Canada

Bookkeeper

What You Bring

  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, including data entry, reconciliations, adjustments, and yearend activities

  • Prior experience working in an accounting or bookkeeping practice (2 years preferred)

  • Communication skills – able to confidently and competently communicate with both colleagues and clients

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years’ progressive experience in full-cycle paperless bookkeeping, including payroll

  • College diploma or University degree in Accounting

  • QuickBooks Online Certified

  • Must be eligible to work in Canada; Must reside in Canada

  • Preference is given to candidates living in the Winnipeg area and those living within or near the Central Time Zone
